Does God Exist?

Scientific and philosophical arguments supporting monotheism.

The Bible

The Bible serves as the authoritative foundation for the faith of the Christian Church. This document (66 books) has a great deal to say regarding God’s nature, His characteristics and His creative power and intelligence. The Bible’s teachings regarding God can be divided into the following (5) categories.I. God is the source of all things – He is eternal, infinite, immense in power, all knowing and wise, everywhere aware or present.II. God is self-existent, unchanging, Spirit, invisible to the material world and One in essence.III. God is perfect in truth, in holiness and in love.IV. God is moral in the application of His perfection. Veracity and faithful (in truth), just and righteous (in holiness), mercy and goodness (in love).V. God is personal – He has intelligence and wisdom (intellect), feeling and emotion (emotion), personal choice and will (will). A person consists of an intellect, emotion and will.

Let’s examine what the Bible says about God

The following Biblical references and teachings are provided here so that you the reader can see that the four philosophical arguments that we have examined here not only agree with the Christian Scriptures but are expanded upon in significant detail. It is not enough to simply acknowledge that God exists. There is much more than this at stake. The Christian Faith is rooted in the fact that God has revealed Himself to us and that He has provided us with a revelation as to Who He is and what His purpose is in creation.

I. God is the Source of all things.

The Bible affirms that “God is”. To believe this statement is the first condition that must be met in finding God. It is to the sincere, eaest and believing person that God will reveal Himself.“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a re-warder of those who diligently seek Him” – Hebrews 11:6
